NOTES:When I started my photography course a short while ago, I was dissappointed to see that professionals were no longer interested in the 35mm film version of this craft. Everybody was telling me to "upgrade". Then, just the other day, while spending time at a reputable camera dealer, I felt a sense of loss when the salesman told me to forget film photography as it was dying a rapid death and they no longer carried new stock of analog related items. I walked out of there with the kind of emotion I feel after being told a family member just died. Then, a quick google search brought me to APUG (analog photography user's group). The founder is based right here in New Zealand, and it was encouraging to see that more than 38000 members are listed. Happy to see that this form of photography is so widely supported and that there are many around the world who will not let it die.
